ADHCPleasetime is the period for which arouter'sDHCPserver temporarily assigns an IP address to a device on the network. It matters becauseleasetime controls how quickly unused IP addresses are returned to the pool for reuse — too long and the pool can run dry; too short and constant renewal traffic can slow the network.

How to do this specifically is dependent on yourrouter. Theleasetime setting should be somewhere in theDHCPserver settings though.

In theDHCPconsole, i went to properties and changed theleaseduration forDHCPclients limited to setting and changed it to 5 minutes from 8 days. However, it's been 24 hours and myDHCPclients are still taking the oldDHCPleaseduration instead of the 5 minutes. How do i get these changes to apply ?
