Like the mainbattery, Volvo recommend that it be a "Absorbent Glass Matt" ( AGM)batterytype. I used a Yuasa YTX-12-BSbatteryto replace the 'Volvo" branded Exide BTX-14 BSbatterythat was in there.

Does anyone know if there is anywhere that remains powered by the secondarybatterywith the ignition off? I could then check how well it is holding a charge when the car is powered down.
